Creating a Level Design with strong restrictions

This assignment came with several restrictions concerning the gameplay mechanics of the game for which we had to create a Level Design. This forced me to push my ideas to find fun and challenging gameplay situations for the player.

Working on a level's pacing and tension curve 

The most important points of this exercise were the level's pacing, integrating calm gameplay phases and others with more tension.

Working on the Level Design of an Open World

​As part of a student project, I had the opportunity to work on an ambitious game, an adventure in an open world. It was an occasion to discover a new approach to level design in video games, as well as to experience working as part of a large team.

Learning the requirements for a good Open World

As this was the first time I'd had the opportunity to work on an Open World, I had to start with a benchmark stage to understand the requirements for a good map. 

Producing documents for a large-scale project

This project involved a large number of students from several different departments at my school, so it was important to produce complete, comprehensible documents.
