How does it feel to learn magic?






This is where we wanted to focus on the player's experience. In this adventure game, you take on the role of a young witch in Scotland, who must discover the world outside her home in order to save her family and friends.

As Game Designer on this project, I was responsible for creating production documents and updating them regularly. I also worked extensively on the project's level design, creating puzzles and the tension curve. Then finally I integrated, first in grayblock, then supervising the skinning of one of the project's levels.

My work
At the start of the project, our only guideline was that it had to be a witch who saves her fellow witches. We then had to determine how to lead the player towards this goal. I played a major role in designing the gameplay and balancing it.
To ensure that information was shared between the various departments involved in the project, I created a Game Design Document, with a design that made it easy for everyone to find the information they needed.
I also learned to listen to everyone's needs and constraints, so as to facilitate production and avoid frustration.
